The following scholars from Central Asian, France and Spain interested in the issue, took part in the meeting: Dr. À.Anarbaev, Dr. A.Berdimuradov, Dr. A.Gritsina, Dr. B.Matbabaev, Dr. M.Hujanazarov (Uzbekistan), Prof. F.Grene, K.Rapin (France), Prof. Isamiddinov (Uzbekistan), Dr. K.Tashbaeva (Kyrgyzstan, Director of IICAS), Dr. S. Stride (Spain).
At the meeting the project proposals of the creation of database of archaeological monuments of Central Asia, which constitute the crucial component of the rich historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia , were discussed. The discussion of the projects highlighted several issues related to the protection of archaeological monuments that have endured rapidly growing damage and destruction over the recent years.
It was emphasized that project should be aimed at the compilation of a complete Register of monuments, also it was mentioned that IICAS is the most convenient centre for coordination of all the efforts aimed at protection of the cultural heritage of Central Asian people. |
