Civilizations of Nomadic and Sedentary Peoples of Central Asia

This collection is devoted to problems of interaction between nomadic and sedentary civilizations from the Stone Age period to the present. These articles to base on reports of participants of International conference “Civilizations of Central Asia: sedentary and nomadic peoples. “Traditions and the present”, which was held within the framework of the programme of the IICAS in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) 25-28 September, 2002.

The first section of the collection is devoted to study of some monuments of archaeology of Central Asia and also to problems of a history and traditional connection between sedentary and nomadic peoples from ancient period to invasion of the Arabs and arising Arabian Khalifat.

The second section covers the period of a Middle Ages.

The third section is devoted to problems ethno-cultural, economic, political, legal and other relations in the past and present.

The book will be interesting to the specialist of ancient and medieval history, archaeologies, ethnographers and everything were interested the past of Central Asia peoples.
