Social life of Central Asian peoples in the first quarter of 20th century: traditions and innovations

(Proceedings of the International conference, Tashkent, September 12-13, 2008), Tashkent-2009.

This volume represents the proceedings of the first International conference devoted to social and everyday life of peoples of Central Asia in the first quarter of the 20th century. The authors of this issue focus their attention on the details of real life of the population and offer insights which significantly change our conceptualization of historical processes in the beginning of the 20th century, supplementing them with concrete events and detailed features, what makes a historical palette more lively and having many plans.
